A nice article published in the New York Times that covers an interesting case showing the relationship between the mind and body. It has been known for quite some time that the immune system can influence other systems of the body, mainly the neurological and endcorine along with cell metabolism that demonstrates fatigue, impaired detoxification etc.
The article shows how schizophrenia was resolved following an immune event and remedy.
There were multiple studies done in the 1950s where "mental" disorders were resolved following treatment of infectious organisms. Unfortunately this vital research was discarded in favor of medicating people for life with no real resolve.
The researcher, Dr Golam Khandaker, wrote this article has demonstrated schizophrenia and immune in a convincing way.
